Mugshots...

Well, how the powerful fall, and the looks on their faces as it happens. This disgraceful duo have made the big time, and now the whole world knows it. Its been on Fox News and the other worthless Cable News Channels, all over the internet, all over the local news stations (love Steve Wilson!! You rock Steve!) and you cant forget talk radio!

12 counts handed down, and some scary prison time, should they be found guilty of just one of them. The 3 Detroit Policemen that lost almost everything, for only doing their job, must be snickering every time they watch the News. I guess the only 2 people that are not, are the 2 strippers that cant even breathe anymore.

How the mighty fall, and how the arrogance, and the nastiness disappear while trying to save their own lives from ruin. Funny how they didnt think about the families of the policemen that were only trying to save their lives from ruin. The 2 strippers didnt do anything to deserve their fate, but the Mayor and Ms Beatty? Do they deserve what they have coming?

I would be scared out of my mind over this. The above picture of Ms Beatty shows that she looks pretty frightened. The possibility of 15 years or more in a Federal Pen would make anyone scared. Felonies on your record for life? Not good.

And did anyone get a whiff of the Mayor's new lawyer? Stinky...his whole argument is that the Mayor did this dirty deed in a civil trial, and not a criminal trial, so perjury should be excused? Damn, what a waste of money this guy is going to cost.

And throwing out the text messages? Hah! Someone believes in the Tooth Fairy, too! Maybe if you postpone the trial long enough you can visit Santa and tell him that you want that under your tree for Christmas.

Detroit Mayor to face the Music!

Mayor Kilpatrick and Christine Beatty had promising careers. And like too many politicians, they thought they were above the law. Today, they found out they were not. 12 counts including perjury and obstruction of justice, brought by Ms Kim Worthy and the Wayne County Prosecutor's office, were brought forward today, ending the speculation that the Mayor and his attorneys would get Ms. Worthy to back off.

Many had mentioned that the Prosecutor would back down. Targeting the Mayor of Detroit could be a very threatening option. Some wondered if she had the strength to do it. Ms.Worthy proved today that she wont be pushed around by anyone. I am pleasantly surprised that Ms. Worthy did what she had to do, and didn't cower to the administration.

What seemed to be so obvious to the general public was that the Mayor and Ms Beatty lied about an affair under oath. What also was clear is that 3 innocent policemen paid the ultimate price in order for the Mayor to cover up a party at the Monoogian Mansion, and the death of 2 strippers that allegedly performed there.

Will the Mayor step down, now that he is facing felony charges? I doubt it, he is too arrogant. Will the State of Michigan be forced to pay for his Attorney costs, now that he is going to trial? I sure hope not. And will we get to see the pictures tomorrow morning, of Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and Ms. Christine Beatty being booked into jail? That's the least the citizens of Michigan should be able to see.

Congratulations, Mayor. Job well done. You will now go down in history as the most arrogant and crooked politician in Michigan.

Congratulations to Kim Worthy, for being a strong Wayne County Prosecutor, and one class act! Your courage and strength is an example for everyone.

Had Enough, Michigan?

Governor Granholm has raised taxes, during one of the worse economic times Michigan has seen in a long, long, time. Democrats have been running the local cities for decades. Foreclosures are skyrocketing, long time Michigan residents are leaving the state at almost 75,000 per year. Most are leaving for a better chance at living a free life, without the nanny state Politicians we are currently stuck with.

Most Michigan residents probably don't know that one of their own Congressman, Congressman John Dingell, D-Dearborn, has been pushing and is still pushing a new tax, nation wide, on gasoline. He doesn't want to screw you over with a gradual tax, he wants to sock it to you in one lump sum. John Dingell is calling for a $ .50 cent new tax on gasoline, for every gallon that you use. Never mind that Dingell represents Dearborn, and Detroit, you know, the freaking Car Capitol of the WORLD!! You know, the companies that he promises to protect every time he runs for re-election.

The price of gasoline must not be high enough for rich man John Dingell, who lives in a gated community, near Fairlane Mall in Dearborn, because we already pay PER GALLON $ .54 cents in federal taxation. Quick jab at my mental math calculator tells me that if I own a car/truck with a 20 gallon tank, $ 10.80 right off the top goes to the government for doing nothing. Add in the cost of state tax hidden in a gallon of gas, and it makes you wonder what is going on in this crazy state.

Had enough yet? Nope, well keep voting those Democrats in..look at Detroit. The wonderful Wizard of Oz Mayor is a home grown Democrat..and whats up with the new Black Panther Party coming here to pray with the Mayor? Is he a Black Muslim too?Someone might want to look into that..rumor has it his Daddy is.

And what are the Democrats planning to do right after the National Election? Pass higher prices onto consumers for electricity! That's right! We don't pay enough as it is!

Had enough of a Nanny State Government? Try to open a business! Hire a damn good lawyer, and pray! Ask the Showcase Cinema of Westland, Michigan just how hard it is to deal with Democrats on the City Council! They just built their Cinema about 10 years or so ago. Canton opens up a wonderful Emagine theater with alcoholic drinks and dining..

Showcase Cinema wanted to at least have a shot at competing with Emagine, but alas, could not get the city to let them have alcoholic beverages and a fine dining restaurant. That massive Cinema must not of paid enough taxes to the City, because the City said no.

HUH!??!! The city said NO??? Come on, you have to be pulling my leg! Nope! In a close vote, the city said no! Showcase Cinema is no longer open. The massive building will be empty forever more. Right up the street is a closed older Theater, Quo Vadis..but that's OK. The City likes abandon houses, and obviously abandon commercial buildings. Job well done Democrats!! Now there will be no taxes paid. Its over, and the Cinema never had a fighting chance with these morons.

Had enough YET, Michiganders? Or is this our destiny? A one state recession and so many rules and regulations that even being a home owner, it seems the government has more rights to our homes and our lives than we do! Are we all going to leave the state? I sure plan to, as soon as its possible.

Hows all those foreclosure stickers on houses all over the state looking? I admit, they use pretty orange and red stickers to point out to the world that not only is the house vacant, but that this state is a damn mess. You would think that would be illegal, since its private property no matter who owns it, bank or homeowner. But our little Democrat idiots have to have complete control. Just pay your taxes, and you better like it, and shut your mouth.

And how about the latest news article on welfare fraud? 100 million and counting, fraudulantly taken from the taxpayers, the state knows it, but does nothing..the latest account of fraud in this wonderful state involves a couple, with 4 children. Well, let me correct that, thats 4 children, 3 barely living. A little 2 year old boy died over a year ago from starvation and the parents BBQ'd him and stashed the body in the ceiling of the basement. They abused the rest, but continued to get welfare for over a year, for all 4. Look what feel good Democrat programs produce. And the best part is, food comes off of your table to pay for them! Remember to vote the BIG D!

And all the little idiots with a little d by your name, walking in lock step to the voting booths, while the rest of us want to run like hell, keep these morons in office. For that reason only, if I were to be truly mean, I would support Dingell's 50 cent a gallon tax. Since you don't have the brains you were born with, you deserve to pay it!

The Mayor Hits the Big Time Blogs, TOO!

On Ace of Spades, this is reported:

Scandal-ridden mayor is now facing new allegations in stripper's killing
Police allegedly pressured to drop case
Los Angeles Times
DETROIT -- In a city that routinely sees more than 400 murders a year, the 2003 slaying of Tamara "Strawberry" Greene was an easily overlooked crime.

Few people initially took notice when the 27-year-old stripper was found slumped over the steering wheel of her green Buick Skylark. But soon the city was buzzing with rumors that she had danced at a party at the mayor's mansion--a story that never has been proved.
...
They recently filed a statement from a former Detroit police officer alleging that his homicide unit was pressured to drop the case, even though it appeared to him that Greene's death was a hit -- one possibly carried out by another police officer. They also have subpoenaed a slew of text-messages among city employees, including those sent between 1:30 and 5:30 a.m. on the day Greene was killed.

The city is petitioning for the case to be dismissed. A federal judge ordered SkyTel and the city to save certain messages from 42 city pagers, including Kilpatrick's, as well as all messages sent on the day Greene died.

The sordid tale of Greene's slaying revolves around the rumored party at Manoogian Mansion, the official residence of the mayor. Court documents lay out the following sequence of events:
An officer with the Executive Protection Unit reported that a party for the mayor and his friends had taken place and " ... the party featured nude female dancers," according to a 2003 internal affairs memo commissioned by Police Deputy Chief Gary A. Brown. The unit handles security for the mayor.

When the mayor's wife, Carlita Kilpatrick, unexpectedly arrived at the mansion, she saw her husband and the strippers, according to the officer who reported about the party, Harold Nelthrope.

Nelthrope, who was not at the alleged event but learned about it the following day, "further stated that a fight ensued between Ms. Kilpatrick and a dancer and that the dancer received injuries requiring medical attention." Nelthrope does not say who told him about the alleged events.
The dancer -- believed to be Greene -- was taken to a hospital, " ... and the Executive Protection Unit confiscated all activity log sheets (from the police precinct that responded)," Nelthrope said.

Best part of the whole article is this....

Speaking of Axel Foley, his boss, Inspector Todd, was played by Gilbert Hill, actual former Detroit PD detective. Gilbert Hill was elected to the Detroit City Council in 1989 and at one point was its president.

Kilpatrick's opponent in the 2001 mayoral race? That would be one Gilbert Hill.

But Detroit is too far gone to elect people who investigate crimes: it elects the people who commit them.

You Reap What You Sow, Mayor Kilpatrick..

THUG

Maybe its time to step down so you can avoid all the nastiness, because its going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Tonight, Hizzoner had the nerve to say this..via Channel 7 News, Detroit.. (watch the video at this link too! Its amazing!)

Kilpatrick went off script when he lashed out. Below is the transcript:

The challenge for all of us in public office is to rise above our differences -- to rise above our human frailties – and maintain our focus on working together to move this city forward. Ralph Waldo Emerson said big jobs usually go to the people who prove their ability to outgrow small ones.

President Cockrel, we have much more serious issues affecting the future of this city than whether we’re going to attend a speech.

I love you [Cockrel] and I love what you've done for our city.

At this moment in our history, we must turn to each other, and not on each other.

And finally tonight, and this may be the most talked about part of the speech after laying out all of that. But I feel that I cannot leave this auditorium with my wife and my sons sitting there without addressing this issue.

In the past 30 days, I've been called a n----- more than any time in my entire life. In the past three days I have received more death threats than I have in my entire administration. I've heard these words before, but I've never heard people say them about my wife and children.

I don't believe that a Nielsen rating is worth the life of my children or your children.

This unethical, illegal lynch-mob mentality has to stop.

And it's seriously time. We've never been here before. And I don't care if they cut the TV off. We've never been in a situation like this before where you can say anything, do anything, have no facts, no research, no nothin and you can launch a hate-driven, bigoted assault on a family.

I humbly ask members of council. I humbly ask the business community. I humbly ask the religious community. I humbly ask the brothers and sisters of the city of Detroit. I humbly ask that we say no more together. I humbly ask that we say no more together.

I love this city with every part of my being and I will continue to stay focused on building the next Detroit.

God bless you.

Detroit, I love you.

Im sure that has fired up the media, watch for some new text messages coming to a newspaper near you soon! What a bonehead!

Close the Detroit Zoo!

Taxation

Asking the suburbs and tri-counties to levy a tax on homeowners is not the answer. Its just another blunder in the race to see who can be the most incompetent with our tax dollars. If the Zoo cant charge enough admission to cover their cost, they should not be open. Simply put, I dont want to pay to go to the Zoo twice. By putting a tax on my home, I will pay every year and not just when I go visit. Thats un-constitutional and its time to close its doors.

The mismanagement of the City of Detroit over its assets should come to an end..anything that the City of Detroit owns, should be funded by either the City of Detroit, or by charging admission at the gate. The citizens of Michigan are tired of being taxed to fund the Arts, Cobo Hall, the Zoo, the Water Dept, and every other idea to come down the pike. Government should own NOTHING. Its obvious they cant run City Hall, let alone all the other things they have their hands in.

And once again, government does what they do best, charge you to use something when you go visit, and charge you to use something when you dont. In this One State Recession, how can any politician come to the people and ask for more money after what Gov. Granholm just pulled on us?

Close it or sell it. Let it become privately owned, and watch it flourish, or make it into a golf course or something. The Toledo Zoo isnt that far away, and it wont cost us every year to use it. Just like Cobo Hall, if you cant charge enough in admission to keep it open, its not anything we need to keep. Obviously!

Taxpayers are tired of bailing out Detroit.
