The Dust Has Settled on the Democratic Convention..

Photobucket
And now the spotlight is Sarah Palin, John McCain's Vice Presidential pick, and we cant ask for a better candidate, man or woman. She shines, much more than Obama's fake halo around his big inflated head.

Its time Michigan, for you to vote for McCain, and his running mate..she's spectacular! A no nonsense woman that kept her baby even when she learned he had down syndrome, she doesnt think a baby is a punishment like Barack Obama does.

Lets bring this state back together and vote to change the mess we are in. The mess that Democrats have caused. They can blame President Bush until they are blue in the face and the lie detector blows up, but it is simply not true. A ONE state recession cannot be caused by the President. It can only be caused by our bad choices in who we voted for. Locally and state wide.

We did not protect our own home grown businesses, we taxed them to death. And we see what that has done to this state.

Join me in voting for the Republican ticket this November, and show the Democrats the way out. We have given them years to screw this state up. Its going to take years to correct it.

Scandals and Michigan. Liberals and Michigan.

Kwame Kilpatrick and his babes and abuse of taxpayer money, Debbie Stabenow's true blue husband and the hooker, Jennifer Granholm and her high taxation, along with nothing achieved but higher taxation, plus being behind the change of the Michigan Constitution to make Michigan a Democratic stronghold forever, and Andy Dillon, soon to be recalled for his part in making Michigan the poorest state in the Union.

Then there's Carl Levin who has been in the senate for way too long, and has sat back and done nothing to save this state and its auto companies, along with liberal politics that have ruined this once great state. All you have to do is look at the states that have been blue states for decades to see how bad they are..New Jersey, New York, California to name a few. Add Michigan. Stir and serve the liberal cocktail and make sure you don't cry in it.

High taxation, lose of jobs to red states that don't regulate them into closing up, business is not moving overseas, they are moving to Tennessee and Indiana and business friendly environments. Red states let freedom ring. Not in Michigan! We have more laws and more taxation, and more rules here, and rules there. The once cherished private property rights have been so distorted that even children playing and screaming can lead to a call to police for excessive noise. Own a dog? Don't you dare let him bark. And then they tax the hell out of you in property taxes for the honor of having to stay inside and be quiet to avoid the noise police showing up.

People cant afford to pay their water bills so lawns are brown and dying. For a state that has an abundance of free water, they made sure its expensive to use. Drilling for oil or natural gas? No way, pay that huge bill and shut the hell up about it.

Add more taxes for a failing Zoo, ( I wonder if the resume padding Ron Kagan got a raise from this, he was making 16,600 dollars a month last year! And look what he produced! We now have to pay taxes on homes for his salary!) and whatever else they think of next, like Cobo Hall expansion, or bailing out the city of Detroit.

Have we, the people of Michigan, had enough of this failed liberal Democrat Experience? Or will we try a new way, and hope to change the direction of this failing state?

I think this man has the right ideas. Introducing Jack Hoogendyk for Senate. At least balance the Senators with one Republican and Liberal Democrat Stabenow. Its your call Michigan, more of the same? Or trying a new way to prosper? We cant take much more of Liberals ruining this state. We just cant.

Maxine Speaks...Its time to listen

Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country lately: illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida ...

Not me. I concentrate on solutions for the problems. It's a win-win situation.

+ Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border.

+ Send the dirt to New Orleans to raise the level of the levies.

+ Put the Florida alligators in the moat along the Mexican border.

Any other problems you would like for me to solve today ? Yes!

C O W S

Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

T H E C O N S T I T U T I O N

They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq .... Why don't we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore.

T H E 1 0 C O M M A N D M E N T S

The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this:
You cannot post 'Thou Shalt Not Steal,' 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery,' and 'Thou Shall Not Lie' in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians...It creates a hostile work environment.

Your Tax Dollars at Work! Let's Give Them Some MORE!

This is what the Michigan Legislature is working on, and how out of control these people are.

2008 Senate Bill 1208 (Establish official state "Scottish Tartan")

HUH? WTH?

Introduced by Sen. Glenn Anderson on March 13, 2008, to esatblish that henceforth and forever more (or at least until a future legislature and governor see fit to declare otherwise), the official Scottish tartan of the great state of Michigan shall be the one described by the Scottish hand weavers and textile designers "thread count" denoted by the phrase "BG18* W2 BG8 W2 T8 DG2 T4 DG24 DR4 DG4*," where the symbol "*" denotes 1/2 the total threads at the turning points. The bill is cosponsored by Senators John Gleason, Michael Prusi, Martha Scott, Deborah Cherry, Dennis Olshove, Michael Switalski, Raymond Basham, and Patricia Birkholz.
Referred to the Senate Local, Urban, & State Affairs Committee on March 13, 2008.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You have got to be kidding me! This is the kind of crap they get paid for?
I have to tell you that through email I talked to Mr Anderson about his refusal to support school vouchers, which he sent out in one of his flyers that he objected to them. He said that the people had spoken (voted) and rejected vouchers. They sure did, didn't they?
The people of Michigan rejected vouchers because the vouchers didn't apply to all Michigan students! You had to be in an inner city school with failing schools to qualify for a voucher. Nothing like special programs for some, but nothing for most!
I told him that, and his answer to me was that until private schools answered to the government (Can you believe that! Thats exactly why we want private schools, we want the schools to answer to the parents! Not Government!) he would not support any voucher program!
These people think they are God, they have lost the ability to think like the average Michigan resident because they are coddled and enjoy special benefits and power trips. It is time for part time legislators, because they have way too much time on their hands.
Instead of worrying and passing legislation to drill for oil and natural gas in Michigan, (we have plenty of both here!) we see they are busy trying to pass a Scottish Tartan act! Instead of seeking to remove and trim down expensive state entitlement programs that are breaking the back of the Michigan People, we get this kind of nonsense?
Give me a break!
Kwame's going to Denver, OOPS, No he's not!
You are the company you keep!
Kwame gets his little tether tracker taken off, OOPS no, its put back on. He was almost getting ready to go to the Democratic Convention, a meeting of thugs, liars, and snakes, but OOPS, No to that too!
And then what does the Obama campaign say? Maybe its best if Kwame stays home and doesn't attract negative attention to the Democrats...BAHAHAHAHA! Now that's FUNNY!
The Nation of Islam protects Kwame, and Obama, so why the change in heart now? Kwame is one of them! Why kick the man when he's down? Its not like he's any different to the rest of you fake and greedy two-faced people.
And where is John Edwards, the "almost, wanna-be VP that could of nailed the union vote for you" Obama? Bill Clinton is going to visit, why lock out Big John? (Why do you Union people vote for Politicians that will eventually destroy your job? Auto Workers, Hello!) He's the biggest two-faced Two America's windbag of them all! Should fit right in the Democratic Party Convention!
I guess the "I Wanna Cut Obama's Nuts Off" Jesse Jackson was uninvited too, but don't worry, Hillary and her "testicle Lockbox" will be close by.
Will the Black Panther Party show up? How about the Nation of Islam? How about the Communist Party? How about the Marxists? This should be a free for all for all the freaks ever born in America, and we are all going to watch the circus play out on a big screen TV!! YIPPEE!
Try to avoid the PissBombs from the Loony Left, and have a Merry Socialist Party!
Normal Denver People Beware..Get the hell out of there until its over.
Time for a Revolution?
Many are posting on YouTube just that..The more you take from us agaisnt our will, the easier and sooner this will happen..watch Penn and Teller tell it like it is.
Michigan Residents, have YOU had enough yet?
Remember the Blanchard government? Any of you know that he is one of Granholm's BFF'S?
Lets go back a little bit and think about the history of this state..Don't worry, I wont go far enough back to make you relive the nightmare of Jimmy Carter, Democrat, in this state. But lets go back to Governor James Blanchard, Democrat.
I started selling real estate in 1991, right before Governor Engler won and a Republican finally had the Governor's mansion. In the first year of selling real estate, I had many clients that were workers for our Big 3 auto companies. Back then, because the jobs were so iffy, it was hard to secure a mortgage for our workers at Ford, GM, and Chrysler. The threat of lay-offs played heavy with mortgage brokers and bankers.
Then that started to change, they were almost the prime borrowers to get a mortgage, because they had Governor Engler in office to try his best to protect our home grown businesses, the auto companies, and the Mom and Pop stores too.
Then his term limit was up, and this wonderful state decided to elect a Canadian born California elitist that was supposedly the great hope of all. Since then we are back to the Governor Blanchard era, it has repeated itself. We went from bad, to outstanding, back to bad. Why is that? Can I give you a clue, boys and girls?
Now we raise taxes for everything while our government "pretends" to make cutbacks..uh huh, we get it. Then they play on your heartstrings for more taxes that come down the pike for children and animals..(I say YOU because I already discovered how they play, years ago when I changed my voter registration from Democrat to Republican. Don't worry, your family only freaks out for a while, then they get over it!)
I was only 28 years old when I realized that I was no longer a Democrat, and that's about when I started watching and figuring out how they do things, how they screw you out of your rights first, then your money next. Then they tell you that they need more money for the "little people". Uh..that's the little people that used to have money, used to be able to go to work at GM and take care of their families easily.
Now you look to the same people to save you. But they don't give a shit about you. All they want is power, and your money. Clever little Democrats, until you learn their buzz words, but as clever as they are, they still speak with the same old forked tongue.
Anyway, back to Governor Engler and the economic surge we had during his years. It seems since he's left office, we have lost more of our money to government, and more of our freedom has been taken away. From local cities to the counties, to the state level, they just keep passing more and more laws and restrictions on our liberty.
We need to come back and hit it hard, we need to save this state from disaster. Its already started, the foreclosures, the banks and businesses leaving, people so desperate that they do things they never would before.
Lets once again begin anew, and let the Republicans have a chance. They cant do any worse than whats been done the last 6 years, or so. Vote for Jack H to replace Levin, hes had way too many years and he hasn't done anything. Vote a straight Republican ticket for the good of our state. We cant afford any more of this complete nonsense going on right now. Vote for McCain, we cant afford Obama.
Oh, and when Obama's Minister at his "old (uh hum) church" says they want your money for reparations and that includes every white persons 401k, take them at their word. The warning is there..heed it.
And dont forget the latest scandals like John Edwards, Kwame Kilpatrick, Debbie Stabenow's husband (anyone figure out how he got away Scot free and the hooker didn't?) Governor Elliot Spitzer of New York, his replacement Governor Patterson, Governor McGreevy of New Jersey, and these are in the last year or so...think about this when you go to vote in November.
.08 % Decided for the rest of us!
Not even a full 1% of the population of Wayne, Oakland and Macomb Counties decided to raise our taxes for the Zoo. Our political hacks put these choices on Primary ballots are for that reason alone..not many show up to vote for primaries, and they set it up that way to get these programs passed, and their Pro-taxation people show up to make sure it passes.
They did the same thing with the "Smart Bus-Let The Suburbs Pay" for it. Then they tint the windows to try and make it hard to see in the bus and how empty it is.
Wayne County population-1,971,853
Amount of votes that put extra tax on homeowners-120,331
Oakland County population-1,214,255
Amount of votes that put extra tax on homeowners-140,786
Macomb County population-832,861
Amount of votes that put extra tax on homeowners-70,556
Added together-331,673 voters
Total population of all three counties-4,018,969
331,673 divided by 4,018,969=.08%
And thats why I support outlawing any major issues on any Primary Ballot. Let it be on the Presidential ballot, or the state ballot for Governor, but never on a primary. It's time to make that a law!
Kwame find himself behind bars..
The press and Drudge are all over this while the Governor diddles, and the rest of us watch in shock at the way Kwame acts and thinks he's above the law. The press is saying that he will be out in the morning, has to post full bond, and probably will be tethered. Big deal. While Detroit looks worse everyday.
The state of Michigan looks terrible, our leadership is in this for whatever they can get out of it ($$$). Overturn the Michigan constitution just to keep these do nothing, pitiful people in office and the people of Michigan get screwed every time they turn around.
Once again, the state of Michigan is the laughing stock of the country. How pathetic. Lets give more money to the City of Detroit, its Zoo, Cobo Hall, and Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick's lawyers.
Government Sanctioned Theft OK'd Today!
Suckers! With the successful campaign of "Save our Zoo" sort of like "Save our Children" you voted to take from others to give to a Zoo..and you gave them a "Windfall Profit" that they will never let go of.
Greed, envy, and jealousy of others that may have a bit more than you do, along with the indoctrination of liberal Democrats to share the wealth succeeded in more taxation in this already struggling state. You now make your neighbors pay for your visit to the Zoo.
In order to get cheap tickets to enter a Zoo, you have created a monster fund that they will spend like its going out of style. Its a shame that the "YES" votes shouldn't have to pay for all of this themselves..
Enjoy paying twice for a visit that you shouldn't have to pay at all, unless you decide to go look at the monkeys..and watch the rest of the state laugh at us. Suckers!
Socialism at its finest.
From Walter E. Williams comes this tonight..(updated at 1:23 am)
A Nation of Thieves
Edgar K. Browning, professor of economics at Texas A&M University, has a new book aptly titled "Stealing from Each Other." Its subtitle, "How the Welfare State Robs Americans of Money and Spirit," goes to the heart of what the book is about. The rise of equalitarian ideology has driven Americans to steal from one another. Browning explains that certain kinds of equality have been a cherished value in America. Equality under the law and, within reason, equality of opportunity is consistent with a free society. Equality of results is an anathema to a free society and within it lie the seeds of tyranny.
Browning entertains a discussion about when inequalities are just or unjust. For example, college graduates earn income higher than high-school dropouts. Some people prefer to work many hours and earn more than others who prefer to work fewer. Students who spend 25 or more hours a week on classroom preparation earn higher grades than students who spend five hours. Most would agree that these inequalities are just. There are other sources of inequalities that are unjust, such as: when incomes result from fraud, corruption, stealing, exploitation, oppression and the like. Such sources of inequality play an insignificant role in producing income inequality in America. Most economists agree that income is closely related to productivity.
And then he goes on to say...
So what's Browning's solution? First, he reminds us of the biblical admonition "Thou shalt not steal." Government income redistribution programs produce the same result as theft. In fact, that's what a thief does; he redistributes income. The difference between government and thievery is mostly a matter of legality. Browning's solution is captured in the title of his last chapter, "Just Say No," where he proposes, "The federal government shall not adopt any policies that transfer income (resources) from some Americans to other Americans." He agrees with James Madison, the father of our Constitution, who said, "I cannot undertake to lay my finger on that article of the Constitution which granted a right to Congress of expending, on objects of benevolence, the money of their constituents."
And you fine people of Michigan did just that!
VOTE NO TODAY! Redistribution is WRONG!
This is one of the "educated" responses I get to higher taxation, and paying for something that you dont use..I am not saying I would never go to the Zoo, but if I do go, I dont want to pay twice for the "honor" of going to the Detroit Zoo..heres a little snide message from our wonderfully educated Michigan residents..
Teri has left a new comment on your post "Vote NO to the Zoo on August 5...": Your city taxes help pay for the maintenance of your city roads, such as cleaning up debris, filling holes, and replacing CITY roads, not the gas tax. We should take out all state parks too, why have another place to spend an enjoyable day not far from home. While we are at it, we could sell the water from the Great Lakes to Las Vegas, they need the water, then taxes might be even cheaper. Certain people may not enjoy the zoo, but I'm sure there are other activities your nieghbors help "pay" for you to enjoy. You should have taken advantage of a college education, you might understand how society benefits from education and learning resources within one's community.I am single, I have no children, and I don't go to the zoo every year, but I don't mind contributing to my "neighbors" so their children can enjoy a lovely afternoon at the zoo.I would not want to pay $35 a person to go to a zoo, nor do I want to spend $60 in gas just to get to another zoo. VOTE YES
Let me think about this..education at its finest..you would rather pay $150 bucks for nothing, instead of paying $35 bucks for the pleasure of going to the Zoo..that's if you even own a home, which most likely you don't... So be generous with your own money, and write a check "for your neighbors"! Use that fine education you have, to be productive and be very generous with your own money.
Too cheap to pay $35 bucks to get into the Zoo, too cheap to spend $60 dollars on gas to get to a Zoo, but generous enough to make your neighbors pay for nothing..great deal there! Maybe you should hit the college trail, and seek a higher education.
Oh, and before I forget, there is a built in 18.4 cents a gallon federal tax in gasoline to pay for roads. There is also a 54.4 cent Michigan gas tax that is suppose to pay for the building and maintenance of Michigan roads..You might want to check that out .
The Dirty Little Secret! Vote NO on the ZOO!
From a pamphlet I received in the mail:
859,000 taxable parcels located in Wayne County.
201,000 Parcels are tax delinquent! 25% are tax delinquent and we want to raise this? Now thats heartless!
These people are in danger of losing their homes, not because of a mortgage default, but because they cant pay their taxes! Property taxes are already outrageous, and they keep hitting us for more money.
In 2008, 5400 homes were foreclosed on by the Wayne County Treasurer Ray Wojtowicz who just happens to be running for re-election. All of these homes were for non-payment of property taxes. Seniors were probably hit hardest, because their Social Security payments basically stay the same while property taxes seem to go up for anything and everything.
So, the dirty little secret, while you ponder to take more of our money for the Zoo is that people are hurting. It could be your Grandmother next, that loses her home because we are arrogant enough to think that homeowners should have to pay for a service that they cant afford to use. Instead of doing it the fair way, by charging more in admission to the people that actually visit the Zoo, people feel that cheap tickets at the expense of homeowners is more fair. Doesn't make any sense, does it?
Have any abandoned homes in your neighborhood? Seen any of those red stickers on them? Someone at one time loved that house. That someone could be you next. We need to lower taxes on our property or eliminate them completely, because you never own the property you broke your back working for. Taxation makes that impossible.
Vote NO on the Zoo! Vote NO on any more taxes that come down the pike! Tell our government in Michigan that we have had enough.
Maybe if we could cage some of our Michigan politicians in the Zoo, we could raise the price and have a Comedy Club at the same time. I'd pay to see that! Maybe even have some pea shooters available...
Slap them down, Thad McCotter!
"This is the people's House," said Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R-Mich.). "This is not Pelosi's politiburo."
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and the Democrats adjourned the House, turned off the lights and killed the microphones, but Republicans are still on the floor talking gas prices.
Minority Leader John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) and other GOP leaders opposed the motion to adjourn the House, arguing that Pelosi's refusal to schedule a vote allowing offshore drilling is hurting the American economy. They have refused to leave the floor after the adjournment motion passed at 11:23 a.m., and they are busy bashing Pelosi and her fellow Democrats for leaving town for the August recess.
You're not covering this, are you?" complained one senior Democratic aide. Another called the Republicans "morons" for staying on the floor.
http://www.politico.com/blogs/thecrypt/0808/House_Dems_turn_out_out_the_light_but_GOP_keep_talking.html?showall
How is your wallet doing these days, my fellow Michigan residents? When the Republicans are fighting to allow drilling here, the Democrats call them MORONS? While they high tailed it out of Washington, D.C. to take a fully paid 5 weeks of vacation? Remember all of this when you go vote this Tuesday, August 5, and start saying NO to any more taxation!
When you put a twenty dollar bill in your gas tank and you get 4 gallons of gas, remember who refuses to let us drill for our own oil. Remember that trillions have gone to Middle East countries that hate us. Remember Alberta, Canada, where they are drilling like there's no tomorrow and supplying high paying jobs, for some reason, it doesn't hurt the environment. It only hurts the environment if WE drill...uh huh! Makes you wonder who in Congress and in the EPA are getting money under the table from OPEC.
Remember that when the Democrats talk about alternative fuels, we don't have any right now that work. Remember when they talk about electric cars, that they will only go about 100 miles, and then they need to be charged. Have you looked at your electric bill lately? Imagine the cost added on to that bill for charging a couple of electric cars. And what do you do when it runs out on the road?
Remember when they talk about wind turbines and solar, that they haven't perfected those either. They cant even make a solar light for the back yard that works to light it.
Vote August 5, and vote NO on everything that raises our taxes. And vote for any GOP member that wants to drill, like Thad McCotter. He has my vote!
Drill here! Drill NOW! Pay less!
"A Vote That Would Make a Difference in People's Lives"
Who's to blame for our high gas prices? The oil companies? The Saudis? OPEC? The answer, unfortunately, is closer to home: The "No-We-Can't" Left in Congress.
Last Thursday, with oil at $124 a barrel, liberals on the Senate Appropriations committee voted to block environmentally sound development of oil shale in Colorado.
According to the Investors Business Daily there are an estimated 1 trillion barrels of oil trapped in shale in the U.S. and Canada. Retrieving just a tenth of it would quadruple our current oil reserves.
But the "No-We-Can't" Left in Congress -- as they're prone to do -- said no, and Americans will pay the price. Colorado Senator Wayne Allard (R) put it best when he said: "If we are really serious about reducing pain at the pump, this is a vote that would make a difference in people's lives."
Keeping track of the GOP in Congress to lower gas prices!
Pelosi is trying to shut them down, by turning off the lights, banning cameras and shutting off the press from any of this.
But its not working, and the Republicans up there fighting for lower gas prices and drilling, are making the Democrats look like the fools that are. 5 weeks of vacation, and the Democrats split town..President Bush call the Congress back for a special session, and do it now!
Keeping track of this at http://www.michellemalkin.com/
and at http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/
Make yourself a drink, pop some popcorn and watch the Republicans shame the crappiest Democrat Congress we ever had! And I mean CRAPPY!
